About Me

Picha, opened in 2010, is an independent space dedicated to artistic research and experimentation. It is located in the centre of Lubumbashi city; its projects question history, urban planning or social matters using art creation as a trigger for knowledge production and exchanges. The art centre organises residencies for local and international artists, alternative formats for exhibitions, writers' meetings, films screenings and talks. It also hosts an art library and a studio for sound and image recording.
